The day is upon us

Call me what you wish, but know this. I will deliver what I feel the Lord is telling me to say. The day of the Lord is upon us. Even in the midst of darkness His word and his Spirit will still be active. I have chopped up this passage below because of its length, and I have highlighted those things that my spirit feels strongly about.
Although the time to come is not going to be pretty God will show himself strong through the life of the person that will call upon Him. The word of God will never pass away, and the Holy Spirit of the living God will remain upon this earth, drawing all who will turn to Him.

The Lord knows how to deliver the Godly out of temptations.

A word study on the phrase "the day of the Lord" landed me here in 2Peter.
2 Peter 2:9-10 AMP Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations and trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the day of judgment and doom, (10) And particularly those who walk after the flesh and indulge in the lust of polluting passion and scorn and despise authority. Presumptuous [and] daring [self-willed and self-loving creatures]! They scoff at and revile dignitaries (glorious ones) without trembling, (The Amplified bible places words in brackets and italics that they felt would enhance your comprehension of the subject matter. An example: “all these things are true, then be sure” is a reference to Peter's address of Lot and Noah. Peter verbally demonstrated how God rescued them, therefore God has established a precedent, and will continue to rescue the godly.)
